Every Bite As Good As You Remember
Proposition: There’s Only One Original Glazed
The Original Glazed is more than a doughnut. It’s the icon at the heart of Krispy Kreme — instantly recognisable, unmistakable and remembered for its signature melt-in-your-mouth experience. In a crowded category, the proposition There’s Only One Original Glazed was built around a simple truth: some things don’t need reinventing. It celebrated the familiarity, distinctiveness and enduring appeal of the original.
We answered the brief with a simple truth that spans generations: whether your first Original Glazed was in 1937 when Krispy Kreme began, 2003 when it arrived in the UK, or just yesterday, every bite is still as good as you remember. The idea turned that enduring consistency into a crave-worthy campaign, celebrating the unmistakable taste and experience that has made Original Glazed an icon.
The hero key visual focused on one of Original Glazed's most distinctive product truths: its signature melt-in-your-mouth quality. Close-cropped, crave-worthy and centred on the eating experience, the creative captured that unmistakable moment of biting into an Original Glazed — making the product the undeniable hero.
Supporting key visuals dialled up the distinctive product credentials behind the Original Glazed experience. One celebrated the light, fluffy dough through the ownable doughnut tear, while another heroed the glorious glaze from its unique journey through Krispy Kreme's iconic glaze waterfall. Together, they built a richer product story around the qualities that make Original Glazed unmistakably Krispy Kreme.
Our 20-second hero film brought product and emotion together, pairing irresistible reactions with macro product zooms — from the iconic tear and fluffy dough to that glorious glaze. Set to I Know a Place, the track reinforced Krispy Kreme as the place for that unmistakable Original Glazed experience.
For paid social, HFSS legislation meant we could advertise the brand, but not the product. So we flipped the campaign from product-led to emotion-led, using expressions, eyes lighting up and That Original Taste to capture the irresistible Original Glazed experience — with I Know a Place providing the same distinctive thread, without ever showing the doughnut.
